I ditched staying late at work and took my notebook to Pelican & Pines instead. Iced matcha, lemon loaf, rain tapping on the windows, and a peaceful hour sketching the chipped rim of my cup like it really mattered. Sometimes that’s all you need. Also, Noah texted asking if my integrity was still intact—which made me laugh when I was already wiped out.
