Three months into Bangkok and still figuring out how to make work that feels alive, not just slick. Tonight started with a notebook and a scattered idea from Dao about the archive — ended with a real plan: portraits that breathe, the calm before the crowd at the event space, those slightly crooked chairs, hands setting out food, and the edges of the neighborhood holding all the memories. Also, missing mom like crazy tonight. Ghormeh sabzi and the sound of Farsi in her kitchen especially. But maybe that’s part of it — seeing what I’m made of while I’m making this stuff. So, lined up but not quite done joonam.
