blocked with alvin brooks today doing all the behind-the-scenes stuff—controlled carries and bracing drills that actually build you back up. dude talked mad trash about not being fragile but still hit every rep, mad respect. halfway through he asked what i miss most about playing and all i could say was the clean competition, not faking being made of steel. rehab’s a grind but it’s about earning trust from your own body. that kinda stuck with me.
